No desk, all your work will be out in the field.
With our clients fantastic product range earning expectations can be up to £55K for an average performance moving up to £82K for strong performers.
The role is commission only however you earn from day one. The average deal is worth around £200 with sales guys earning over £1000 per week.

Our client is a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 50,000 people across the UK and Eire, and increasingly in Europe. Their Head Office and Contact Centres are based in Leicester in the East Midlands. They have over 500 stores and numerous Distribution and Warehouse operations.

Position: Quality Control Manager - Hanging and Fashion Returns
Location: South Elmsall, nr Pontefract
Salary: Competitive

ROLE:
The QC Manager will manage the Supervisors, Quality Control & Rework teams within the receiving warehouses, by ensuring that all departmental systems and procedures are maintained and adhered to, so that the quality standard of the company product is guaranteed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Deal with all stock problems reported from quality inspection, in order priority, deciding whether or not they need to be resolved by Head Office personnel and assure product quality of returned items.
b) Be responsible for the correct staffing level according to the operational need, and operate within budget.
c) Ensuring that all attendance is correctly recorded, and repeated absence dealt with. Organising staff holidays so that business needs are met, and to progress the through put of all deliveries through inspection and deal directly with any cause of delay.
d) Advise the product teams and offer solutions and technical support on non-compliant issues surrounding suppliers, their deliveries and returns. To support issues raised by operational areas on product and offer solutions to ensure a smooth stock flow.
e) Ensure the Warehouse Quality and Rework departments provide the support needed to meet its activities and ensure actions are in place to meet the future requirements.
f) Manage and coordinate activities within QC, Rework including external and third party clients.
g) Maintain good, accurate and consistent administration by all staff, and to be responsible for the training of staff to the agreed quality standards and expectations of the company product, so that a uniform quality level can be achieved.
h) Organise all departmental information relating to quality issues into reports for the senior management team.
i) Supply information relating to Long Term Absence to the Management Information Department, responsibility for risk assessments in QC and rework areas.
j) To deal with all insurance issues relating to rework processors. Review and update Training Guidelines and Procedures. Inform all concerned of any changes. Organise delivery information relating to quality issues into reports for the QC management team.
k) Assists in case of disposal and destruction of substandard stock. Controls all their stock situated at an external processor at their Distribution stock take. There may be occasions when the manager at short notice needs to travel abroad on business.
l) To undertake regular Health & Safety inspections with the QC Manager for the department, to ensure the Health & Safety and welfare of employees. Undertake accident investigations with the assistance of the Health & Safety Departments, as and where necessary, and to help implement appropriate preventative action.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience working in a similar environment, including product knowledge preferably gained from an apparel or textile manufacturing background.
b) Ability to compare and contrast the quality of the stock to that of the sample, and identify and describe any differences.
c) Able to judge the commercial acceptability of a product should it not conform to company standards.
d) GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
e) Analytical approach to problem solving, ability to plan and prioritise workload.
f) Oral and written communication skills, strong leadership and motivational skills.
g) High level of attention to detail in all functions of the job.
h) Able to make objective decisions based on information given.
i) Work accurately at speed and under pressure.
j) Flexibility towards hours worked.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Higher education to degree level.
b) Management experience in a similar role.
