Successful candidates will have a responsible caring and mature approach, be educated to GSCE level or equivalent, and ideally be computer literate due to the need of using a Database Enquiry system. You will have previous sales experience which will have preferably been gained in a similar environment and will be expected to become thoroughly acquainted with conveyancing processes and all its requirements.
As a Sales Consultant you will be site based; therefore should you hold a CSCS Visitors card and therefore this would be desirable.
This role is to work part-time, Sunday and Monday.
Due to the nature of the role you must hold a full and valid driving licence and be a car owner.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised 'hands on' person who has extensive buying and catalogue production experience to join our client's management team and manage;
- The catalogue programme (annual 408 page catalogue plus smaller 48 and 64 page A5 catalogues throughout the year).
- The product range planning, development, negotiation and re-pricing process for both our catalogues and our website.
- The content / copy and imagery used both in our catalogues and on our websites.

The team is relatively small but growing and extremely friendly, you will work closely with the Managing Director and other Managers to play a significant part in the success of their plans and this role carries a lot of responsibility.

- The ability to extract and analyse data, recognise trends, make decisions / improvements, and create reports.
- Manage supplier re-pricing / negotiation, new product introductions and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- A personable and friendly approach with articulate communication skills.
- Excellent mentoring and management skills, in addition to highly competent and effective presentation skills.
- A very "hands on" approach with exceptional organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience in copywriting or marketing techniques for mail order or the internet would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Experience of Sage 200, Sage CRM or Internet development skills would also be an advantage but not a requirement.
The successful candidate must be willing to relocate, or live within, daily commuting distance of Norwich.

Position: International Sales & Logistics Executive
Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire
Salary: £20k to £26k DOE
ROLE:
The Sales Executive will be part of a proactive team. You will predominantly be dealing with their International sales and logistics development. A very good telephone manner and knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. are a prerequisite for the post holder. Progression in the job will quickly lead to visits to mainland European customers circa 3-5 days per month necessitating some time away from home. (Germany, Benelux, France & Scandinavia are the main target markets). International customer visits will initially be made with a Senior Sales Executive as part of an on-going training programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Attending to the everyday running of the international sales office as part of a small team; dealing with customer enquiries, pricing, order progress, etc. and the input of sales & purchase orders.
b) Proactively speaking to mainland European customers to promote the company, set up visiting appointments and develop sales in general.
c) Deputising for other sales executives in their absence.
d) Arranging release of material from the docks.
e) Transport planning - liaison with forwarding agents, third party hauliers, docks and mill suppliers on both export and import material movements.
f) Control and dissemination of all documentation legally required (Test Certificates, CE required documents, etc.) for full traceability of all their products from the mill to the customer. Ensuring customers receive all relevant paperwork for deliveries including the test certificates prior to their load arriving.
g) Filing own paperwork.
h) Taking responsibility for an allocated number of live customers and target customers with the objective of achieving budgeted sales tonnages.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) A foreign language graduate, ideally a German language graduate or fluent in both spoken and written German - an aptitude in French or any other EU languages would also be advantageous.
b) Excellent communication skills plus the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations.
c) Enthusiastic, creative, and able to work individually as well as work as part of a team.
d) Highly organised and detailed oriented.
e) A current clean diving licence and a passport will be required as there will be some travel to EU customers.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience working within a team in a sales office environment and knowledge of international sales procedures and logistics is desirable.
b) Knowledge of steel products would be an advantage although not essential as training will be provided on all matters pertaining to the post.
