Their mission is to deliver a high quality, inclusive and comprehensive curriculum, in an accessible and flexible way.

They currently have an opportunity available for a Tutor to join them on a Full Time basis (temporary in the first instance) to deliver Mathematics and Physics within the Access & Continuing Education Department.

Candidates for this role should hold an academically relevant degree coupled with a teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards this). You must have the ability to teach Mathematics related curriculum up to level 3 and Physics to at least level 2. First hand knowledge of Access to HE Diploma and BTEC courses would be an advantage. With a creative approach to teaching and curriculum planning, you must have the ability to establish appropriate relationships with mature students and also demonstrate good organisational and administrative skills.

Within the role you will undertake tutorials, either on a one on one basis or as a group and assist with recruitment by interviewing, enrolling and inducting students. You would be expected to carry out the necessary administration related to the teaching programme, undertaking duties associated with the design and development of teaching materials and learning resources while also participating in the extra curricular activities of the department.

You will be expected to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the post.
