<p><strong>Our client is looking for an ambitious, motivated, hardworking and committed retail manager to join them as a department manager on a 6 month maternity contract and assist in the management of this large out of town retail store. </strong></p><p><strong>Department Manager </strong></p><p><strong>6 month contract (Potential for it to go perm) </strong></p><p><strong>£17,000 - £20,000 depending on experience </strong></p><p>This is hands on retail management role and you will be responsible for:</p><p>-        Stock control</p><p>-        Merchandising autonomy</p><p>-        Staff recruitment and training</p><p>-        Managing labour costs</p><p>-        Minimising shrinkage</p><p>-        Health and Safety</p><p>You will be working in a fast paced, exciting and challenging retail environment where there is always too much to do and not enough time. They have a very extensive stock range so there stores can be challenging to merchandise, create flow and ensure POS is accurate.
