Programmer Analyst
The client is a leading provider of portfolio-management and trading software to the global hedge fund industry. We have
a vacancy for a programmer analyst to join our Technical Consulting division. The work involves any or all parts of the
SDLC, from business analysis to delivery and maintenance of software systems and modules catering to the needs of Hedge
Funds.
Our Technical Consulting team provides bespoke, tactical solutions to the Clients customers who use the FundManager suite
of products for their trading and operations. These solutions are developed to address very client specific requirements
which are critical to their operations but currently not in the strategic product plan for FundManager. The team also
provides assistance on major projects to the Implementation and Support teams of FundManager. It is expected that as the
.NET based API into FundManager is adopted by more customers, there will be further demands for Technical Consulting
resources to develop tailor-made applications using the API.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Be experienced with Oracle database, and proficient in SQL and PL/SQL
* Possess excellent skills on Microsoft Excel, including macros and accessing databases from Excel
* Be proficient in any .NET language (preferred)
* Have a good understanding of the hedge fund or investment banking sectors, specifically in the area of trade
processing, covering a broad range of asset classes including equities, fixed income and related derivatives
* Have client facing experience in a consulting, implementation or support role
* Be able to work on multiple projects at various stages of the SDLC simultaneously
* Have good communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to manage time effectively
* Be able to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Intensive in-house and on-the-job training will be provided.
