Our client is one of the UK's leading bill payment solutions specialists. Established in 1996, their core business concentrates on providing bill payment services and handles around £3.8 billion a year across 46.8 million transactions.

Position: Media Sales Administrator
Location: Whitestone, Herefordshire
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 p.a. (pro rata) plus commission

Duration: Fixed term contract, initially for 6 months but may extend.
Hours: 16 hrs per week (ideally 4 days per week and 4 hours per day).

ROLE:
They are recruiting for a highly enthusiastic, charismatic and results driven Media Sales Administrator to join their market leading portfolio in the social housing sector.

The role is to sell a range of subscription solutions across 24housing magazine and 24dash.com whilst supporting the sales and editorial teams' administration needs. It is essential that the Media Sales Administrator is excellent at working under pressure and to tight deadlines, target driven, as well as being receptive to new information and have a keen eye for detail and a passion for completing tasks.

The role will include new business generation and growth of existing accounts (online and in magazine), predominantly over the telephone and occasionally face to face and editorial support. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the media sales process from lead generation through to closing and invoicing the sale along with responsibility for managing the monthly distribution list.
Knowing the sectors your magazine and website publish in is essential to becoming a respected specialist in your field, and an integral part of successful selling, so you will be expected to keep abreast of issues in the sector.

The Media Sales Administrator will occasionally be expected to attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and networking events outside of working hours.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of achieving sales targets, revenue and call targets along with the ability to negotiate confidently.
b) Proven experience in administration.
c) Ability to use a range of communication and influencing skills coupled with excellent telephone skills.
d) Good research skills with the ability to source the required information.
e) GCSE level or equivalent to include English.
f) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
g) Flexible working hours for conferencing/events.
