An experienced Business Development Manager is required for the development of existing
and new business relationships.
Purpose:
To develop and continuously evolve the commercial and funded operations of the
organisation by maximising existing and developing new business relationships.
Key Responsiblities:
In conjunction with the Operations Director, manage commercial and funded
operations through an integrated approach.
To maintain a current awareness of all potential sources of funding for learning and
development.
To develop a consistent brand message and awareness.
Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities through research.
Key duties:
1. Achieve and exceed commercial revenue targets.
2. Assist in achieving funded revenue targets.
3. Develop and implement a contributions policy for funded learning.
4. Ensure the ongoing development of relationships to maximise both commercial and
funded learning.
5. Develop a broad range of marketing materials for a diverse audience.
6. Identify and complete appropriate tender opportunities.
7. Manage and attend visits to prospects and existing customers.
8. Build and maintain sales pipeline whilst managing customer expectations.
9. Create and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate stakeholders, i.e
Sector Skills Councils, CareersWales, JCP etc
10. Attend networking events to maximise awareness, opportunities and referrals.
11. Represent the company at events, conferences and exhibitions.
12. Manage the development of the CRM database.
13. Develop and implement a loyalty strategy.
14. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
15. Carry out evaluation activities to inform business strategy
