Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or a Science, Mathematics or English Graduate?

Do have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs including MLD, PMLD and ADHD?

Would you like to work within a secondary school in the heart of East London?

My client is a large multi-cultural secondary school in the London Borough of Newham. Their OFSTED report in 2009 deemed them as an OUTSTANDING SCHOOL

Students at this school originate from over 50 different countries, and therefore it serves a very diverse community. A very high proportion of students speak another language apart from English in their homes.

The number of students with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities is above average. However, the school has an extremely supportive and dedicated Special Needs department/ team. There are areas where students with learning difficulties make excellent progress as a result of the caring and targeted encouragement they receive from the learning support staff.

You will be a key element in the SEN department, insuring that the high standards of the school are continuously met. The school is particularly keen to meet learning support assistants that have a background in science, mathematics or English.

The school is easily accessible by bus and London Underground, there is also free parking on the street outside the school.
