Athona Education is urgently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a young child in the Nursery Class of a
Primary School in the Barking and Dagenham area. The Teaching Assistant will be joining the School on 16th April 2012 on
a full time 1 Term contract to the end of the Summer Term, with the position being offered permanently for a candidate
the works well with the child.

The Teaching Assistant will be working on a one-to-one basis with a young child who has Emotional Behavioural
Difficulties and who is particularly disruptive, therefore the successful candidate will have a firm but fair approach to
working with children as well as an understanding and patient nature. The child also has communication and speech and
language difficulties, so having previous experience of working with children with similar needs is highly advantageous
for the Teaching Assistant.

The Teaching Assistant must have experience of supporting children on a one to one basis and have experience of working
with challenging children, ideally in an Early Years setting but this is not essential. Having relevant Childcare
qualifications will also benefit the Teaching Assistant.
