  Acorn Adventure is the UK's leading provider of real outdoor adventure camps for schools, groups and families with centres in the UK, France and Italy. We have been making a positive difference to the lives of young people for 25 years and we are looking for energetic and committed team members to make it happen again in 2008.

We are currently recruiting for Cooks for our centres in the UK (Lake District and Brecon Beacons) for our 2008 season running from April until September.

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to live and work at an activity based holiday centre. We provide action filled camping holidays for groups of young people and families. This exciting residential position gives you the opportunity to work within a team and assist in the production of three well-balanced wholesome meals a day for between 150 and 300 guests and staff. You may be required to take charge of the kitchen in the Catering Managers absence.
As well as food preparation you will be responsible for ensuring food safety legislation is being adhered to and company standards are being met.

Requirements:
A recognised catering qualification
Food hygiene certificate
Experience in a high-volume catering environment

What we Offer:
We offer a monthly wage (dependent on skills and qualifications), uniform, tented accommodation and meals. We also offer in-house training and you will have the opportunity to experience the activities on offer, work towards and gain NGB outdoor qualifications.
