Embassy CES Summer is now recruiting Centre Managers for summer schools based in Bedford, Brinsbury, Bristol, Chipping Norton, Dublin, Eton, Kingswood, Leicester, London, Nottingham, Oxford, Reigate, Seaford, Southsea, Warminster, Woking.
We are looking for individuals who possess strong management and leadership skills who will be able to ensure the smooth running of a summer school operation. This is a challenging position and applicants must be able to multi-task and have experience of working in a high pressure enviroment.
Remuneration:
Remuneration for the Centre Manager posts depends on the size of the centre and the experience of the applicant. This is a residential post and full board accommodation will be provided.
Centre Managers work 6 days per week and report directly to the Programme Manager who provides on-going support throughout the duration of the summer programme.
All managers are invited to a two day training programme prior to the commencement of the summer programme (location to be confirmed for 2008). It is imperative that all managers attend this training programme in order to ensure the successful running of their summer school centre. Full board accommodation will be provided by Embassy CES Summer for all attendees. £50 (for two day attendance) reimbursed at the end of the training weekend.
All managers will be required to be at their centres 1 week prior to the arrival of staff and students in order to prepare the centre for summer school. All Centre Managers will have the on-going support of their Programme Managers and the Recruitment team.
Once the centre is up and running, Centre Managers will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the academic and activity programme and for ensuring that what has been sold to the client is provided at the centre. Centre Managers will be responsible for student transfers, all aspects of student discipline, implementing and maintaining weekly paperwork and budgets, developing a good working relationship with the college/school and managing the summer school team.
Applicants for the Centre Manager posts should possess excellent interpersonal and management skills, demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a team and work within and adhere to a budget.
Ideally, Centre Managers should have experience of working in a summer school environment, working with teenagers, residential work or possess a customer service background.
This is a challenging role and we welcome applicants who feel they possess the skills to contribute to the success of the summer school programme.
